I believe if you go back and read the Genesis account, you will find that Adam was created in the image and likeness of God. Adam then was disobedient, and was a fallen creature. We are created in the image of Adam. We have flesh and bone, and are incapable of being any thing like God. That's why He sent His son, Jesus, who knew no sin, to become sin, so that those of us who believe in Him, could have everlasting life. That is no secret, it's plainly written in God's Word! This probably will never make it to the comment page on your website, but it is the Truth. God truly has revealed Himself to us as you have said, in the Bible.
