I once read somewhere that eighty-five percent of people acquire their current job through the recommendation of a friend. This is contrary to the misguided belief that the proper way to find a job is constructing resumes, internet searches, classified searches, emails, faxes, persistent phone calls, and so on. Rather, the true secret to successfully conducting a job search is to treat your entire life as an interview. That is, realizing that the vast majority of people find their jobs as a result of establishing a meaningful connection with another human being, you should focus on presenting yourself to the world in a way that is consistent with the type of job opportunity you would like to attract.

What I am saying here touches on a principle that I have elaborated on in previous articles which is that of being preceding doing, which, in turns precedes your having that which you have desired to have. This same wisdom has been captured in our culture in the saying, “fake it ‘til you make it.” This is simply another way of saying that you must learn to be that which you want to be before you can indeed be that which you envision yourself to be.

Recently I have been studying one of the great iconic figures of the twentieth century, Muhammad Ali, and came to realize that this was something he understood well and lived every day in his life. If you are a student of history, black history, or even boxing history, you should well know that long before the world came to acknowledge him as the “greatest of all time” he consistently- and often to the chagrin of the world- proclaimed himself to be that. All that he was doing was faking it until he made it. In other words, Ali understood that in being in his own mind (or at least constantly trying to convince himself that this was true) that which he eventually wanted to become, he would initiate the thoughts consistent with this state of being, which would, in turn, lead to him doing actions that the greatest of all time would do, which would in turn lead to him having all that the greatest of all time would. He understood quite well the mechanics of manifestation, as evidenced by what he manifested in his own life – him becoming the greatest of all time.

So, in your own life, if you are to have the life of your dreams, you must learn to be that which you want to eventually become right now. Therefore, if you eventually want to become, for example, the CEO of a Fortune 500 company, you must right now begin to present yourself to the world as if you already were the CEO of a Fortune 500 company, in terms of your overall self-presentation to the world of dress, speech, and manner. Projecting your future into the present will only have the effect of the world responding to you as that which you are projecting, and before you know it, “the future” will merge into your present reality.

Going back to our initial point about how most people find their current job through a friend, and therefore, all chance meetings should be treated as interviews, means that being that which you envision yourself becoming will lead to you attracting people that are currently in the position which you would someday like to be. Think about it. People that present themselves to the world as thugs attract other thugs; people that present themselves as athletes attract other athletes; hippies attract other hippies; and so on. Therefore, the way in which the law of attraction (like attracts like) applies to your job search is that if you learn to be that which you seek, that which you seek will be attracted to you. Thus, the best advice I can give you in your job search is to learn to match your current dress, speech, and manner with that of the type of position you would like to be in, and certainly you will attract the type of people that are currently doing that type of work (they will want to connect with you because your overall styles in life are consistent with each others) to you.

It has been said that the great philosopher Nietzsche’s entire philosophy can be reduced to the importance of style. This point that I am trying to make about how people will matching styles are drawn to each other in life is the essence of what I am trying to say about life as an interview. Every type of employment can, in a sense, be evaluated in terms of the overall style of the people that are in that type of environment. What type of dress is required in the position you want to attract? Is it suit and tie? Is it t-shirt and jeans? How do people speak in the position you want to attract? Do they speak the king’s English? Do they speak broken English? What kind of mannerism to these people have? Are they upright and dignified in their manner? Are they harsh and abrasive? All of these things are part of what I mean when I speak of the style of a position. If you can successfully evaluate the style of the position which you would like to attract to yourself, and learn to mold yourself into that style, you will find that the only people that are drawn to you are those whose style (because they are in that position you are seeking) matches your. And from there, it is only a matter of connecting with the new people which you draw into your life, and flushing out the way in which these relationships can be beneficial to all parties involved, the least of which is your own financial life.

“Money is life energy that we exchange and use as a result of the service we provide to the Universe.”

Deepak Chopra

What is money? All of us, if we are honest with ourselves, must admit that we really enjoy the experience of having money, and the doors of opportunity that it can open for us in our society, even though this rather large aspect of human life remains an elusive mystery to many of us. That is, even as money is one of the greatest desires that we all have, we don’t truly know what it is, and therefore, don’t know how to bring more of into our lives.

If we are to understand what money is, we can begin by first understanding what it does. Quite simply, what money does is allow us to acquire all that it is that we need in order to live. It is money exchanged that allows us to nourish our bodies, clothe our bodies, shelter our bodies, and educate our minds. Thus, money has the effect of sustaining, maintaining, and improving our bodies and minds. But, no effect is without a cause, and therefore, we must investigate the cause of money.

Going back to Deepak Chopra’s assertion that “money is life energy that we exchange and use as a result of the service we provide to the Universe,” the cause of money should become obvious. If money is energy we use as a result of service, then service must be the cause of money. Thus, it is the service that each of us provides to the All that is the cause of money moving into our lives. Obviously, the greater the service we render, the greater the return we will receive. But, this still does not give us insight into the true nature of money.

If service is a cause and money an effect, then it must follow that money is fundamentally service. That is, money is a tangible symbol that represents the intangible action of service. Thus, money is a symbol that represents service. You could think of money that you currently have in your life as being proof that you have been of service to the world. If currently you are finding that you have nominal amounts of money in your life it is because the service you have provided is not as great as you can give. But, if you are ready to acquire great amounts of wealth, all that you have to do is reach deep into the chambers of your heart and find the gift that you are really wanting to give to the world. In truth, each of us has inside of us a gift that will be beneficial to all, and it is the giving of that gift that results in your having material wealth. Remember, money is service, and the nature of the service we provides will dictate the quality of return we will see in our life.

So, going back to our initial question, “what is money?” I believe the answer is that money is service, or the proof thereof. A large service yields large returns, and small service yields small returns. And what is the difference between a large service and a small service? A small service is one that is not congruent with the deepest yearnings of your own heart. A large service, on the other hand, is one that is congruent with your own heart. Thus, it is my personal belief that the key to wealth is to be found deep in the chambers of your own heart. All of us have such a key that will unlock our own personal treasure chest of vast fortunes, but the problem heretofore, has been that we’ve been trying to unlock that chest with the wrong key. That is, we’ve been giving a service that doesn’t resonate with our own heart.

In conclusion, I would say that money is service. And, great wealth comes from great service. And great service is nothing other than that unique gift that is in your heart. Simply give of that gift and all else will be bestowed upon you.

“Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him.”

Mark 4:25

The above quotation, at first glance, must appear to be the cruel dictates of a very unjust God. However, upon a deeper understanding of this statement is actually revealed the solution to any financial problems you may be currently experience yourself as having.

The true meaning of this quote is that it is gratitude, or a lack thereof, that will determine if we will be a “have” or a “have not.”

When it is said that he who has will be given more, whereas he who does not have will even have what they do have taken away, what is really being said is that we all get what we put our attention on.

In truth, all of us have things that we desire to have in life. But, the problem in most our lives is that we focus on what we don’t have rather than on what we do have, and this determines what we get out of life. Thus, another way of phrasing this quote that makes more sense for a modern audience would be, “ we all attract to us what we focus on the most; focusing on what you do have will attract more of the experience of having, whereas focusing on what you don’t have will attract more of the experience of not having.”

The truth is that this quote is nothing other than an ancient formulation of the principle which we have come to call in modern times the ‘law of attraction’. The law of attraction states that we all get what we focus on, whether that is something we want or don’t want. And therefore, as a result of the two basic ways we can focus our attention (do have or don’t have) this law can only yield the result of expanding that which it is we are focused on, regardless if we are seeing our cup as “half-full” or “half-empty.” Seeing the cup of your life as half-full will lead to the Universe pouring more in your cup, whereas seeing your cup as half empty will lead even to the depletion of what you do have.

Thus, the way to apply this wisdom to your life is always to focus on what you do have, and never on what you don’t have, and, furthermore, to always be grateful for what you do have. In other words, even if there is but a few drops of abundance currently in the cup of your life, be grateful for those few drops and the Universe will surely pour more into your cup, and soon, you will find that, at last, your cup spilleth over.

In truth, money is actually an aspect of being alive as human beings that is quite easy to master. Money, like all things in life is attracted to you in accordance with your true thoughts about it. For instance, if your predominant thoughts about money are that it is evil, or that only evil people have lots of money, and therefore you do not want to have massive amounts of such evil in your life, then surely you will only attract minimal amounts of money into your life. Or, perhaps based on your background of growing up in poverty, your predominant thoughts about money (based on your experience) are that you never have enough of it. And, of course, by law, this thought must be made manifest in your reality as your continued experience of money. That is, you will always have the experience of never having enough of it.

In other words, the statement, “thoughts become things,” is the fundamental truth of life that you must understand if you are going to transform any aspect of your life. In this case, we are talking about money, but this truth applies to every other aspect of your life, including your experience of health and relationships.

Once you begin to observe in your life that everything you think inwardly eventually manifests outwardly, you will begin to understand that all you have to do to shift your external relationship to money is to shift your internal relationship to money.

The most effective “trick” I have come up with for doing this is simply to take a moderately valuable (e.g. $50 bill) paper note and to tape it up somewhere in your bedroom where you are certain to see it every single day. Then, you simply make a commitment to always leave that paper note posted there, never to spend it.

The value of this trick is that in simply noticing every morning and evening this paper note you have posted in your bedroom, is in the simple fact that this will force you to acknowledge that money is currently a part of your experience, and therefore will begin to initiate a shift in your thinking about money from that of “not having” to that of “always having.” In other words, making this change in your external environment will actually lead to a shift in your “internal environment” in regards to your thinking about money. Whereas currently your thinking about money may be that you never have enough of it, as a result of this exercise your thought about money will be that you always have it (because in fact you do as evidenced by this paper note you have posted in your living space). And, again, in time, this inner shift in thought will eventually manifest outwardly as an external shift in your experience of and relationship to money. That is, you will soon find that you do indeed always have money.

The truth is that wealth really is a state of mind. Wealth consciousness is that state of mind that knows that money is just one form of energy, and that you have access to an infinite source of energy within you that, when tapped into will manifest into your experience as the infinite That is, the kingdom of heaven (as well as hell, for that matter) is within you, and it is your thoughts that determine which will manifest into your experience. When you are thinking thoughts of lack and limitation, then you are experiencing the “abyss of hell” inwardly, and this is what will manifest outwardly. When you are thinking thoughts of gratitude and abundance, you are experiencing the “kingdom of heaven” within, and this is what must manifest outwardly.

So, as for the subject of money, this simple tool of posting a moderately valuable paper note somewhere in your room, and noticing every day and night that you have money in your life, is especially effective in creating the inner shift in your relationship to money (i.e. this will create the new thought about money that, “I always have money in my life”) that will lead to an outer shift in your experience of money. More precisely, this new thought will eventually manifest as a new thing in your life as material abundance and prosperity.

When you are truly ready to attract more money into your life, do this exercise and learn to be grateful for whatever amount of money is currently in your life, and certainly it will grow. There is an old saying that applies well here: “ that which you appreciate, appreciates.” That is, it grows.

And so I say to you that truly the mastery of money is to be found in gratitude for the money that you do currently have (no matter how nominal an amount that may be). When you practice gratitude, literally thanking the Universe for what it is you now have, you affirm in your thinking that you do indeed have, and therefore the Universe must manifest in accordance with you thinking. You will be given the experience of more having.

Therefore, the true secret to the mastery of money is for you to make a practice of often giving thanks for the money you currently have in your life. This simple act of appreciate will, again, lead to the appreciation (expansion) of your wealth and this will insure that you are always attracting wealth and prosperity into your life.

Recently I had the privilege of attending a very informative, inspiring, and powerful career planning workshop. The workshop, put on by an organization called “A Brighter World” in Boulder, CO, touched on principles of creating a life based on a more heart-centered approach to career planning and preparation. The basic premise of the workshop is that all that we have to do to experience more success in our life is to open ourselves to receiving more love. Love, this organization suggests, is constantly pouring into our lives; the problems that we experience as lack, loneliness, and meaninglessness in our lives are not inherent to the experience of living as human beings but are, rather, a result of us closing ourselves off to the reception of love in all of its manifestations as financial abundance, loving relationships, and meaningful vocation.

The reason for this closing ourselves off from receiving from this loving Universe is the fact that most of us are actually afraid of the world based on past experiences of abuse that we have all experienced in our lives. And, as a result of this fear that has put in all of us by various sources (parents, friends, family members, religious institutions, etc.) many of us develop what is often spoken of in the Shambhala lineage of Buddhism as “the cocoon.” The cocoon is the protective layer most of us walk around with in order to protect ourselves from experiences of abuse similar to ones we’ve experienced before (sexual abuse, psychological abuse, physical abuse, etc.) The unintended result of this protective covering, this cocoon, is that we unintentionally end up shielded ourselves from receiving the love (monetary abundance, loving partner, dream job) that is constantly showering into our lives. Though the formation of this cocoon was wise and appropriate at the time of its creation, in time, it becomes the very thing which blocks you from receiving all that it is you deeply desire in life.

The solution to this problem of the cocoon- the protective psychological strategies you have formulated against life (i.e. deep-seeded deceptions about the nature of the Universe)- is simply for you to learn to trust your own wisdom about the fundamental loving nature of this Universe. Einstein once said that there is only one question that matters in life: is the Universe that we live in friendly or unfriendly? The answer that you give to this question dictates the experience that you have of it.

You see, looking back on the whole of your life experiences, it should be obvious that the number of experiences you have had of the Universe have been far more friendly than unfriendly. Think about it. I am willing to bet that at some point in our lives as human being, every single person on this planet has experienced some form of abuse. And, for some reason, many of us after going through those abusive experiences decide to only notice those experiences to the exclusion of every positive and friendly experience we have had of this Universe. The cocoon is, then, the fundamental deception we build at the moment of abuse or unfriendliness that tells us that this experience is more reflective of the nature of life then all of the other experiences we have had in lie. Thus, the cocoon is the lie that this Universe is not friendly based solely on intermittent experiences of an apparently unfriendly Universe. And this, too, is nothing more than a failure in ability to “read” the Universe. That is, this is a misinterpretation of the fact that the Universe is always and only friendly in its gestures towards us, but since our perceptions are locked within the framework of space and time, we can not see the broader picture of infinity which is always expanding and evolving. In other words, everything that has ever or could ever happen in our lives only ever serve the purpose of perfecting us. And is, therefore, always a friendly gesture by the Universe, especially those gestures that seem the least friendly (i.e. the various forms of abuse many of us believe ourselves to have experienced in life).

Thus, if you are looking to attract your dream job (and dream anything for that matter) into your life, all that you have to do is to remove the cocoon of deception from your field of vision and allow yourself to look at the world with fresh eyes. With these eyes, the “eyes of spirit,” you will allow yourself that vision which was once so common to you when you were but a small child. With these eyes you will look out at the world and see once again that this world is a most wonderful playground with an infinity of toys seen and unseen. Just become you fell off the swing once a long time ago and scraped your knees doesn’t mean that this is the experience you will have this time. For, this time around you know that though you need never fear, you must exercise caution. Fear, the cocoon, has taught you that because you were hurt once you must never go on the swing again. Caution, the eyes of spirit, tells you that you should get on the swing again, but this time be more careful. Though you have had experiences of financial gain and loss before, you mustn’t give up entirely on financial matters. This time around, simply make the decision to really pursue work that you truly love.

And this is very simple once you have given up the deception of the cocoon. Having removed the veil of the cocoon from your eyes, you will look out on the world and know that anything you could ever desire in this world is yours for the asking. For, this Universe being infinitely friendly and generous, that is, loving, sees you as its beloved child who it would do anything for, including granting the fulfillment of your most outrageous whims. So, if you are truly ready to do work that you really love and are inspired by, all that you have to do is ask. In a sense, all that you have is ask the Universe to sponsor you in being who you really are. Many of us, tend to think that there is a disconnect between who we are in our dreams, and who we have to be to make a living. The fact of the matter is that the people that are the most successful in life are those that have learned to ask the Universe to pay them to play. That is, they have asked the Universe to take care of all of their material needs in order to free up their time to do things that they really love to do. The Universe, that infinitely friendly and generous genie in a bottle always answers by, “your wish is my command”, and manifests whatever it is you ask for into your experience. So, if you are truly ready to have that job of your dreams, all that you have to do is ask in plain words that the Universe give you whatever amount of financial prosperity you are ready for, in exchange for doing whatever it is you love to do, and surely, soon, it will be yours.

In order to become rich, all that you have to do is give a gift to humanity that is priceless. The word ‘priceless’ is actually more profound that it may seem. Ordinarily, human giving is done at a price. That is, there is an expectation of return. A gift that would be priceless would be one done simply for the sake of giving. Here, the intention would be pure in that the giving is done only with the intention of uplifting the recipient. There is no ego in the giving.

You see, the whole problem in your life is your ego. Your ego is simply the illusion you hold that you are important. Once, however, you learn to give up your false sense of importance, believing that you are entitled to certain things in life, you will then be able to actually give freely from your heart, rather than from your ego.

You are already rich because the chambers of your heart contain riches that go beyond the material, and yet is fully capable of manifesting the material when the material is intended to be a gift to another. In other words, the motivation of the heart is to give. The motivation of the ego is to receive. Thus, when you are centered in your ego, your only thought is, “what’s in it for me?” On the other hand, when you are centered in your heart, your only thought is, “how can I help?” And that is why a true act of giving engenders receiving; because the nature of the Universe is flow, not stasis. If you are looking to receive but not give out what you receive, the Universe can not give to you because to do so would initiate static in a Universe that is inherently dynamic. Thus, it would be disrupting the natural flow of the Universe. But, if you want to receive only so that you are able to give, surely that which you desire must flow into your life, because to do so would be consistent with the dynamic nature of the Universe. That is, your willingness to give away that which you receive would not interrupt the dynamic, ever-flowing (giving and receiving) nature of the Universe.

So, a gift given must engender the giver receiving in turn. Therefore, if it is your desire to become materially wealthy, all that you have to do is reach deep into the chambers of your heart and find a gift that is priceless. Give that gift to the world, and truly, it will, in turn, be given unto you. This website is my gift to you.

“The world is full of abundance and opportunity, but far too many people come to the fountain of life with a sieve instead of a tank car… a teaspoon instead of a steam shovel. They expect little and as a result they get little.”

Ben Sweetland

If I told you right now that you have a bank account within this universe that is infinite in its supply, would you believe me? Chances are, if you live at ordinary levels of consciousness you believe that your bank account has however much money you earn from your full or part-time job. And, of course, on that particular level, that is true. But, on a deeper level there is an infinite amount of riches available to all of us at any given point in time. The real reason that someone might find themselves stuck at a mediocre level of income, is that you do not have access to the “password” with which you would unlock this bank account.

The password that unlocks our infinite account with the “Bank of Spirit” is the living of our highest purpose in life. You see, all of us have many different purposes in life based on the many different levels at which we exist. Spiritually, each of us has the purpose of experiencing ourselves as spiritual beings having a human experience, rather than believing it to be the other way around (i.e. we are human beings that have occasional spiritual experiences). Physically, we have the multiple purposes of surviving, preserving our health, procreating, nourishing our bodies, and so on. Furthermore, within our physicality we must explore ourselves even more in depth in our particular manifestation as male or female. That is, we must somehow learn how to translate our maleness into manhood, and femaleness into womanhood. However, the purpose that is deserving of the most attention is your spiritual purpose. Your spiritual purpose in life is your highest purpose. It is the one that will deliver you from all unfavorable conditions you have in your life. For, in adhering to the dictates of your purpose for which you have chosen incarnation, you will receive in accordance with the terms of your “sacred contract.” And what could the contract terms of Spirit be other than unlimited abundance? Of course, these are precisely the terms of your contract with Spirit.

So, this begs the question: how does one remember the purpose that they chose before ever even incarnating? The answer is quite simple: your purpose in life is to do what you enjoy. Literally, your purpose in life is to do, for the sake of humanity, that thing that puts you in-joy – the feeling of joy is the revelation of your highest truth. Remember, the way to know the truth about something, anything, is to pay attention to how you feel. Ultimately, the way that you know if something is true or false for you is by paying attention to your feelings. Anything that gives you a feeling of joy is truth for you. Anything that give you a feeling of sadness, discomfort, or despair is not true for you. It is that simple.

So, in pursuing what exactly your life purpose is, all you have to do is pay attention to how you feel. In the course of your day, you will do and say many things. However, some of those things give you more joy than others. For instance, a day for you might consist of any of the following activities: meditation, running, praying, reading, watching tv, talking on the phone, writing, singing, dancing, cooking, eating, etc. Perhaps there is one activity you do, that you do on a daily basis that gives you a feeling of absolute bliss while and after you are doing that activity. That activity is your life purpose. You have come here to somehow use that activity to teach others about life: singer, dancer, writer, athlete, physicist, astronaut, carpenter, lawyer, and any other vocation that one can think of. These are all vehicles through which we can learn about life. And, quite simply, we are all here to teach each other how to teach each other.

So, find that thing that you love to do more than anything else, and find a way to use that thing to uplift the condition of all human beings. If you do that, then, truly, you shall see that the gates to the mansion of riches that are rightfully yours will burst open and a bounty of riches will be bestowed upon you.

For, this is a great secret that too many of us human beings have forgotten. All of us are here to serve each other regardless of artificial divisions such as race, class, and creed. We human beings are like leaves on the branches of a tree. Though we are undoubtedly individual, we are all bound to the same tree. The human race is literally one family, and it is our role to serve and to be served by every member of our family, regardless of how different we may seem from each other.

The pervasiveness of war and violence in this world is a testament to the fact that so many of us have forgotten that our purpose is to serve and be served by each other as one human family. And, of course, the way in which that service is to take place is in you doing that thing that you love to do as a means of serving others. Though many have forgotten theirs (and our) purpose as a species, this does not mean that you have to forget. In fact, you can serve as a reminder for all those who have been lost by the roadside.

As long as you remember to use your gift – the pursuit that puts you in a state of joy and inspire and enlighten others – you will be given full access to your savings account with Spirit and you will be endowed with an infinity of riches to enjoy. Truly, the secret password that unlocks your account with Spirit is nothing other than the living of your highest truth and purpose in life. And the way in which you can “crack” this code, is simply by paying attention to what puts you in a state of bliss and joy. Once you have found this password, you will find that all else will be magically provided for you.

Sarah Bernhardt

Usually, when most of us think about assets that we own, we immediately think of the tangible assets that are in our possession (e.g. cars, houses, land, jewelry, etc.). Or, perhaps we may have other liquid assets such as bond notes and stocks. However, unbeknownst to most of us, inside of us all is an asset, which, when “liquidated” (meaning brought to the marketplace) can be converted to unlimited wealth. This asset, which happens to be the most important asset you have, is nothing other than the unique talent or skill that you have, that is intended to be used to assist in the evolution of the human race.If you are not certain about the unique talent or gift that you have to offer the world, there are a couple of distinct attributes that each person’s genius (asset) has. Firstly, whatever it is that you were meant to do, is also something that you absolutely love to do. That is, you have a passion for doing whatever it is you were meant to do. In fact, you love doing this thing so much that when you are not doing it, you often dream about doing it. Secondly, you are also exceptionally good at doing that thing that you love to do. As a matter of fact, one way of knowing that the thing that you love to do, and are really good at doing, is the fact that you are not only exceptionally competent in this skill, but you are so good, in fact, that you have insights and an understanding about that thing, that other people can’t have. In other words, you are so good at this particular things that you were meant to do that you are able to go beyond conventional approaches to this thing and develop an original approach to it. Lastly, the final way that you can know that you have found your unique talent and genius is that when you engage in doing this thing that you are gifted at and love to do, you completely lose track of time while doing it. For instance, if your genius is your ability to play a sport like basketball, you’ve probably had the experience of starting to play basketball and then looking up at the clock and seeing that several hours have elapsed since you started playing, even though it only felt like a few minutes. I’m sure you’ve heard the expression, “time flies when you’re having fun.” Well, time also flies when you are expressing your unique form of talent and genius. So, it is this gift, this talent, this unique skill, ability, this unique genius that I am referring to as your greatest asset. And by liquidating (converting an asset to cash) I mean that you should make an effort to share this genius of yours with as many people as possible. In fact, in the beginning don’t even worry about making money with your gift. Just focus on sharing your genius, your greatest asset, with as many people as possible. And rest assured, for as long as you are giving you will be receiving.
There is a law in economics that I believe can explain this quite well. It is called the law of supply and demand. The law of supply and demand basically states that consumer demand for a product dictates how much of the product will be put into supply. Therefore, the greater the demand, the greater the supply; and, of course, the greater the supply, the greater the earnings.

So, as we can see, a great secret of wealth acquisition is trying to assess consumer demand, and then to offer a product that meets that demand. So, the real challenge for you, then, is to find out what you have to offer that is in demand. The answer to this question, of course, is that you are in demand. As self-help teacher Arnold M. Patent puts it, “The Universe, in Its infinite wisdom, does not create talents without the corresponding need in others to experience the expression of these talents.” In other words, the Universe has already created the demand for what it is that you are intended to supply.

A simple truth about human nature is that we have an unquenchable desire for novelty and originality. This is good news for all of us. For each and everyone of us is a special, unique manifestation of the Divine. The has never been, nor will there ever be, another being quite like you. If you are self-aware you should be in touch with the very unique, original gift that you have been given, in order to give to others. If so, know that you are in high demand because you have something unique, original, and novel to offer the world. And because you are in high demand , you will have the chance to supply your genius to many people, and in doing so, will have converted your successfully liquidated the greatest asset you have – your unique talent and genius – into an abundance of material wealth.

“We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give.”

Winston Churchill

If you want to be the millionaire that you deserve to be, there is a simple principle that you need to apply to your life. That principle is this: you need to meet millions to make millions. If you want to earn millions of dollars, it is imperative that you introduce yourself – through the mass media – to millions of people.

What do I mean by introduce yourself to millions of people? If you were to observe the strategy utilized by people of enormous wealth (my definition of enormous wealth is that a person can only really be considered wealthy if they both have a satisfying amount of net worth, and have had a satisfying experience in the accumulation of such net worth), then you would notice that they all had essentially the same approach. They introduced their true genius, unique gifts and passions to millions of people throughout the world by utilizing the power of mass media. While there may be a negative view of the media in our society, it may still serve as a vehicle of upliftment for humanity. Therefore, you should make an effort to bring your unique voice and genius into the media.

One of the best examples of someone who has utilized this principle to achieve wealth is Oprah Winfrey. Oprah has amassed extraordinary amounts of money, simply by her unique gift of having the courage to talk about things that no one else in our society is willing to talk about. The concept of a talk show may seem superficial at first glance, but given deeper reflection, it should become readily apparent that the true value and appeal of talk shows is the the best hosts are willing to talk about issues in our society that most people aren’t brave enough to talk about. So, as you can see, Oprah’s very unique “gift of gab” is indeed a gift to our society and has proven to be worth millions. Why? Because, of another principle that has been discussed in an earlier post: the more you give, the more you get.

A person that gives their unique gift (everyone has a special talent or skill that they possess that they can perform or execute in a very unique and special way; so special in fact that they do it better than anyone else in the world) to one person per day will receive in accordance to that level of giving. A person utilizing the mass media to give their gift to millions a day will also receive in accordance with that level of giving – certainly at a magnitude that can transform millions while generating millions. As Oprah has demonstrated, that is quite a bit of receiving. This is because there is a law in the Universe that states: “give, and it shall be given unto you.”

So, if you want to make the most of this powerful law of the Universe, make a commitment to begin to share your unique gift with as many people as possibly by taking advantage of the power of the mass media (television, radio, internet, books, newspapers, motion pictures, and magazines) to spread your message to thousands and thousands of people.

In other words, the only thing separating you from your millions is your prior inability or failure to bring your gift to more people by speaking on a local television station, setting up an internet site, publishing a book, writing a column in a local newspaper or magazine, producing an independent film, or creating an audio CD, and so on.

In conclusion, the true approach to acquiring economic prosperity is for you to focus on giving your gift to the masses of humanity by making sure your gift, message, invention, theory, idea, etc. is represented and disseminated by some form of mass media. And believe me, if you are truly aligned with your highest purpose in life, the opportunities for you to disseminate your gift will magically appear. Truly, we are all gifted beings, and it is in the giving of that gift, that we receive abundance. For it is the dictates of spiritual law that state: give and ye shall receive; give and it shall be given unto you.
